Policies and Payment Options

Equi is dedicated to making healthcare affordable as well as accessible, but we do have to keep it sustainable so we can keep the doors open. Please help us help you by making sure you contact your HR department and/or your insurance company and ask them to explain your coverage, your co-pays and any deductible that might apply to your visit. We will handle the billing, and try to help you understand the answers you get, but your payment, whatever the method, is your responsibility.

If you do not have insurance and are low income, our providers may be able to offer you a financial hardship rate. We have a limited number of these to grant, and they either expire or must be renewed after 6 months. If you are interested in more information about this option, please speak directly to the staff or your provider, or contact us with questions.

Same day cancellations are subject to a fee, which may be waived at the providers discretion. If you are going to be late, be sure to contact us ASAP, and understand that your appointment may need to be shortened or even rescheduled due to the high volume of patients we are trying to assist. If you are an OHP member, we cannot legally charge a same day fee, so all OHP members have a 3 strike policy: if it becomes a pattern, you will need to discuss it with the doctor, and may be released from care. You are very important to us, but we have a large community to serve--please be mindful of your providers time.
